Tony Bowall
Please Note that due to technical problems beoyond my control aliens got to work on my galleries and abducted them! As I did not have time to recreate them (the galleries, not the aliens!) I decided to delete all of my galleries and am gradually adding new galleries from time to time. If you would like to see more photographs you can visit my website. Just click here.
I started to concentrate on full-time photographic projects a few years ago which, paradoxically, gives me far LESS time to get out and actually take photographs!
For six years, once or twice a year, I ran an Open House ('The Happy House') with my wife Helene as part of the Brighton Festival where around 2,000 people come to look around. This led to my work getting a much wider audience and being collected by many. It is good to hear what people thought, both positive, constructive, and critical. I will no longer be running an open house as I am concentrating on other projects. Nonetheless visitors are always welcome to come and see me.
My photographs have gained some success with RPS (Royal Photographic Society) and other Exhibition acceptances and I have had work selected for the 'London Salon of Photography' in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. In 2009 I was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society and, also in 2009, was awarded a rare medal by the London Salon of Photography. I was awarded a Second Medal by the London Salon of Photography in 2010 when even fewer (only eight medals worldwide) were awarded.
My work is on sale in some outlets in Sussex and I have a permanent display at the Brighton Bandstand Cafe on the seafront and what seems to be approaching a permanent exhibition in Pizza Express, Church Road, Hove. My images will soon be in many of the rooms at the Brighton Hiltoni Metropole Hotel and I have photographed and published the Hilton's 2010 Xmas Card!
Thanks for visiting.
Best wishes, Tony Bowall FRPS
